This is a poster about the Dutch artist Aquil Copier. He makes paintings based on google maps. He likes the way landscapes look from above, and the little mistakes that appear while going through the maps. The paintings are built up with acryl, in lines that cross each other whereby a relief arises. I wanted to use this to make a background of coloured lines, whereby the colours are based on the paintings. The title of the series Digital Mapping is like a relief poster, representing the landscapes and relief, and because the shapes are not perfectly formed, also the mistakes that appear in google maps.
