Issue#07 is almost there

Copierjaar in het glasmuseum te Leerdam

Op 16 april 2011 is de grootste en meest complete overzichtstentoonstelling van Andries Copier geopend.

Al een groot aantal jaren koestert het Nationaal Glasmuseum Leerdam de ambitie om uitgebreid aandacht te geven aan Nederlands belangrijkste glaskunstenaar van de 20e eeuw:

Andries Dirk Copier.

Honderdtien jaar nadat hij werd geboren; negentig jaar nadat hij zijn eerste ontwerpen tekende voor de Leerdamse glasfabriek; veertig jaar nadat hij de fabriek verliet en twintig jaar na zijn overlijden is het dit jaar zover.

Het Glasmuseum organiseert vanaf 16 april de grootste overzichtstentoonstelling met werk van Andries Copier ooit; publiceert in samenwerking met NAi Uitgevers een oeuvrecatalogus én lanceert het zogenoemde Copier Research Project, een online onderzoeksomgeving waar de ontwikkeling van de Nederlandse glaskunst wordt bestudeerd.
