There is No Pain in Painting

A show about state of mind, fun, colour, depression, politics, time, technique, and so on but the main question is: This looks funny but was is fun to make (and the opposite).

Gulliver Goes, into a whirlpool vortex

Gulliver Goes, into a whirlpool vortex toont de ruim honderd werken uit de collectie van museum Le Secet, die het museum sinds 2010 heeft weten op te bouwen. Deze collectie is aangevuld met nieuw werk van vijfendertig kunstenaars die speciaal door het museum zijn uitgenodigd om aan deze expositie deel te nemen..

De titel van de tentoonstelling is geinspireerd op het boek Gulliver’s Travels, van Jonathan Swift. Gulliver had geen idee waar hij uit zou komen maar hij ging op pad en stond open voor wat de reis hem bracht. Op eenzelfde open manier bouwt Museum Le Secet aan haar collectie, en presenteert het museum deze op zo veel mogelijk plekken. Het streven is de collectie in de toekomst ook naar het buitenland te laten reizen.

IMAGINE2012 is een evenement waarin de invloed van technologie en informatie op de toekomst van organisaties en de maatschappij centraal staat. Binnen deze context selecteerde de Digitale Werkplaats op uitnodiging van Ricoh innovatieve en deels interactieve kunst die mensen met elkaar verbindt. Naast de workshops, seminars en presentaties die Ricoh organiseert is de expositie open voor publiek.
